Production and Aging:
Almirez is made from grapes from their own vineyards between 15 and 35 years old located in Valdefinjas and Toro. The harvest is carried out the second week of October, and it is exclusively manual with a rigorous selection of the fruits that are in optimal sanitary conditions and ripening in the vineyard and in the winery using a selection table. Aged for 12 months in 30% new French oak barrels and 70% 1-wine barrels.
Curiosities: The Teso la Monja winery belongs to one of the most prestigious winery groups on the Spanish wine scene, Grupo Eguren was born after the sale of the Numanthia Termes Winery to the number 1 luxury company: Louis Vuitton, Moët, Hennessy.
The Eguren family resumed their work in search of another Toro wine, with a lot of money in their pockets after the aforementioned sale that took place in February 2008.
