Made 100% with Tinta de Toro.
Aged for 17 months in French oak.
CURIOSITIES
The winery near the vineyard, where they combine the knowledge of their ancestors with modern technology, and at the heart of the winery, barrel aging. Only natural products to age the wines: oak, natural cork and glass.
Located between the Duero and Hornija rivers, the vineyards -traditionally grown in goblet- are planted on soils with a large amount of gravel on the surface. The extreme continentality of the climate, the lack of rainfall (400 mm.) and the altitude (800m.) modulate the quality of the tinta de toro grape.
The vineyard will thus express each year the variations imposed by a climate without makeup. That is why the vintage factor is important, and each vintage and each bottle a unique experience.
All wines from the winery are made with 100% bull ink. This variety is perfectly adapted after more than 2,000 years implanted in the area: it never suffered from phylloxera, so all the vines are planted directly, without an American pattern (pre-phylloxera vineyard).
