CURIOSITIES

The winery began its journey 80 km north of Vienna (Moravia) in 1648. There, the Künstler family cultivated their vineyards until they were forced to emigrate due to World War II. In 1965 Frank Künstler decided to settle in one of the areas where the Riesling variety is most famous, in Hockenheim (Rheingau) to produce wines of quality and unique character. Today, his son Gunter Künstler continues this family tradition by getting the winery into the VDP (German Association for Premium Wines).
