TASTING NOTES
- Appearance: Cherry colour with violet reflections.
- Nose: Aromas of red fruits, accompanied by floral notes with an elegant and mineral background.
- Palate: Fresh, voluminous and balanced. Long and persistent finish.
ELABORATION
100% Grenache variety.
Grapes from the La Zorrera plot, with clayey-calcareous soil.
Manual harvesting.
Grapes selected by hand and vatted in stainless steel tanks.
After a light maceration, the wine ferments at a controlled temperature. During fermentation, extraction is carried out by manual pump-overs.
After malolactic fermentation, the wine is fed by gravity to French oak barrels.
Aged for 12 months in French oak.
CURIOSITIES
Chivite was founded as a winery in 1647 and is one of the dynasties with the longest history in Spain. The Colección 125 range was launched in 1985 in commemoration of the 125th anniversary of Chivite's first export, in 1860.
