Juvé & Camps Xarel-lo Essential is a cava that is characterised by a pleasant, fresh and creamy entry on the palate, with a balanced acidity accompanied by a long, vibrant finish. It is a single varietal Xarel-lo grown on the Espiells estate. The vineyards from which the grapes are extracted reflect the most primary character of the grape, which is manifested through the subtle aroma of aniseed notes, white fruit and Mediterranean herbs.

CURIOSITIES: The history of Juvé & Camps began in 1796, when Joan Juvé Mir, a rigorous and restless winegrower, laid the foundations of the company. It was his grandson, Antoni Juvé Escaiola, who in 1921, with the support of his wife Teresa Camps Ferrer, set up the underground facilities of the house in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia to produce the first sparkling wine under the Juvé brand name. In 1940 Josep and Joan Juvé Camps, sons of Joan and Teresa, took over the management of the family business and in 1960 they expanded the cellar and the underground cellars and introduced important technical advances such as temperature control and pneumatic presses.
